Long Term Athletic Development

The philosophy if the LTAD, (Long Term Athletic Development),
http://www.ltad.ca/Content/Overview/Introduction.asp  is to start when a child is very young, to
enhance brain function, social skills, coordination, leadership and creativity.  Understanding the
differences in growth and development for both boys and girls and at what age they are ready for
more advance skills physically and mentally is a crucial part of education.  Renaissance Farm has
incorporated this philosophy into their programs.
Whether the child grows into an elite athlete or continues onto a recreational hobby, they will have
begun their journey with the correct tools for all aspects of life.
